Exciting Part-Time Opportunity for a Class B Driver!
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour JOB SUMMARY Become a key player in our delivery team by responsibly transporting containers to and from customer locations. Your mission will be to ensure effective, safe, and incident-free deliveries while fostering positive relationships with our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers at various customer sites, following all safety regulations. Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift. Be flexible and willing to accept additional deliveries as necessary to meet business requirements. Utilize a company-provided handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation tasks. Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as needed. Clean and inspect containers to maintain their presentability for customer delivery. Handle rental paperwork and payments in coordination with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues, preparing detailed driver notes as necessary. Perform repairs on containers and lifts in both field and storage settings. Provide backup support for storage center operations when required. Maintain cleanliness in the truck cab, ensuring it remains free of debris both inside and out. Be prepared to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Typically reports to Management, with direct supervision from job titles like Market Manager or Territory Manager. This role
does not
involve the direct management of other employees, such as making hiring, termination, or pay decisions. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License, without air brake restriction. Current/valid driver license is mandatory. Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Minimum age of 21 years (due to insurance requirements). Possession of a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a one-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Basic math skills are essential for performing required duties. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. Willingness to attend a two-week New Hire Driver Training Program is required.
