Branch Manager
to lead our team, drive operational excellence, and help grow our business in the region.
Position Summary:
The
Branch Manager
is responsible for leading all branch operations, including sales, customer service, route management, personnel, facility upkeep, and fleet operations. This role is hands-on and involves direct supervision, coaching, and development of staff, while maintaining the highest levels of service and profitability.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead, mentor, and manage Route Sales Representatives (RSRs), Route Sales Managers (RSMs), and Relief RSRs. Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and training of all branch staff. Actively participate in on-call rotations and customer visits. Attend local networking events to promote business development and branch growth. Supervise branch operations including facility cleanliness, vehicle safety, inspections, and maintenance. Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and improve service efficiency. Conduct weekly team meetings, individual check-ins, and staff evaluations. Ensure timely and accurate documentation such as lost/hold forms and call sheets. Lead installation of new accounts and retention of existing customers. Monitor and improve KPIs for self and team. Utilize current CRM and industry specific software. Address and resolve customer service issues promptly and effectively. Participate in company-wide initiatives like Sales Blitz and Emergency Operations Planning. Enforce company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
Abilities & Skills:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Capable of handling stressful situations and making sound decisions under pressure.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push wheeled carts up to 900 lbs. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Operate commercial vehicles and meet DOT safety requirements. Remain alert, focused, and productive during long work hours. Ability to travel locally as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of relevant management or operational experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid Chauffeur’s License and MDOT Medical Examiner’s Card. Ability to meet FMCSA driver qualification requirements (Part 391).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. One or more years of route delivery or route management experience, preferably in the textile rental industry.
