Senior Design Engineer
to lead the charge on some of our most exciting lighting innovations yet. If you're a creative problem-solver with a passion for bringing ideas to life—and you love turning sketches into reality—keep reading. What You’ll Do You’ll be the go-to person for dreaming up, designing, and delivering new lighting products that are sleek, smart, and built to last. Your days will include: Design & Development Take the lead on new lighting product designs from concept to production Turn customer needs into real, buildable solutions Build detailed 3D models in SolidWorks (especially using the Sheet Metal module) Explore new materials, tech, and design approaches that make our products better, faster, and smarter Keep an eye out for IP and patent-worthy ideas Testing & Compliance Develop test plans to make sure your designs work and last Troubleshoot failures using solid root cause analysis Keep everything on track with quality standards like DFMEA Ensure our stuff meets industry certifications (UL, FCC, etc.) Work closely with product managers, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams Join customer calls, design reviews, and even the occasional audit Support sourcing and procurement with smart material choices Help get products ready for the real world—from prototype to production line Run design reviews and help steer projects to meet deadlines Guide teammates and share your know-how Align your work with big-picture strategy—we’re playing the long game here What You Bring Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Product Design Engineering (or similar) 5+ years of experience in product development (lighting = a bonus!) SolidWorks pro (especially the Sheet Metal module) Know your way around GD&T, DFM/DFA, and tolerance stacks Proven track record in validation testing and failure analysis Familiar with compliance standards (UL, FCC, etc.) Great communicator, strong project manager, and natural collaborator Able to juggle multiple projects and keep things moving Willing to travel up to 15% (some international possible) Why Join Us?
