As a Remote Online Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and services that support an organizations digital operations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of platforms that host web applications, APIs, and customer-facing digital tools.
You'll work across cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, application monitoring, and system integrations helping organizations deliver reliable and secure online services around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and maintain scalable, secure online platforms and supporting infrastructure
Configure and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (e.g., EC2, App Service, Cloud Functions)
Deploy and manage applications through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Monitor service uptime, latency, and usage using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus)
Automate routine infrastructure and deployment tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
Investigate and resolve issues in production systems while maintaining strong SLAs
Collaborate with developers, architects, and security teams to implement platform improvements
Maintain documentation and operational runbooks
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
2+ years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or SRE roles
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Familiarity with Linux system administration, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls
Strong knowledge of web protocols (HTTP/S, TLS, APIs) and service architecture Seniority level
