Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in affordable housing compliance? Gorman & Company is seeking a Compliance Occupancy & Certification Specialist to manage applicant and resident certifications for our diverse portfolio of affordable housing communities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to communities across the country—right from your home office.
What You’ll Do Process initial, annual, and interim certifications for HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs Communicate directly with residents and applicants to collect documentation and verifications Review, prepare, and upload complete and accurate files, including retroactive rent adjustments Ensure compliance with site-specific resident selection criteria and regulatory requirements Reconcile and manage EIV reports and implement corrections as needed Coordinate with on-site teams to finalize and communicate certification approvals Support site and compliance operations as assigned by the Senior Compliance Manager
What You’ll Bring
Experience with HUD Project-Based Section 8 and/or LIHTC compliance files Previous lease-up and initial file processing experience required RealPage OneSite experience strongly preferred COS, TCS, or BOS credentials preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Notary Public designation a plus Ability to travel occasionally; valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required Strong independent work ethic, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities
