The Role We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choices in how they consume content. Our new tier attracts new members at a lower price point and creates opportunities for advertisers to reach deeply engaged audiences.
Our Team The Ads Policy Team, part of the Advertising Legal & Policy Team, sets advertising standards to protect our members and business partners. We collaborate with teams from Advertising, Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Public Policy, and Strategic Planning to develop scalable policies that enhance the viewing experience and deliver value to advertisers.
Members of this team are innovative, strategic thinkers who understand the member's perspective and are passionate about using technical, sales, and customer service expertise to monetize our content effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Expert:
Develop and enforce ads policies across various areas (e.g., financial services, healthcare, alcohol).
Operational Strategist & Project Management:
Identify critical issues and opportunities to improve policy advising, alignment, enforcement, and overall effectiveness.
Global & Regional Advocate:
Balance scalability, localization, and cultural sensitivities to create meaningful policies for Netflix, our members, and advertisers.
Experience & Skills
Expertise in Content Moderation, Policy/Legal Operations, Trust & Safety.
Knowledge of internet policy issues, online safety, and brand safety.
Experience managing high-volume content across multiple verticals and countries, and leading complex policy projects.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal teams and translate complex issues into clear language.
Experience working with advertisers, legal, and sales teams.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a curious, entrepreneurial mindset.
Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $380,000. Netflix offers benefits including health plans, mental health support, 401(k) with employer match, stock options, disability programs, health savings accounts, family benefits, paid leave, and flexible time off.
