Business Analyst, Risk Data Governance

As a Business Analyst, you will join a team responsible for building and supporting a critical system that provides reference and market data to our risk systems to manage end-of-margin requirements for customer trading portfolios. Overview Within the Risk Data Governance (RDG) platform, you will review and manage the RDG workflow in various environments, assist with product launches, procure relevant data, manage reports, and serve as the first contact for inquiries related to the platform's functional aspects. You will draft business and functional requirements to support the development and implementation of quality standards in the risk data governance framework for data validation, and establish processes for monitoring, reporting, and transforming data. You will also translate business/product requirements into system requirements, including functional specifications, use-cases, and logical flow modeling. Responsibilities Create requirements and resource materials for reference data systems accommodating diverse product designs and downstream systems. Support implementation of platforms responsible for Risk and Data governance applications. Act as a liaison between business and technology to ensure data-related requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and understood. Define performance indicators and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities. Analyze and resolve alerts, errors, or configuration issues related to data validations. Coordinate price remediation as required due to alerts. Periodically review risk data governance criteria calibration. Assist operations with incident resolution. Stay updated on market trends related to data governance. Knowledge and Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar. 2+ years experience with Energy, Commodity, or Financial Futures and Options markets. 2+ years experience in software product development, data analysis, or quality assurance. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with strong technical and business writing abilities. Proficiency in SQL for data analysis. Strong Excel skills, with experience in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Understanding of the software development lifecycle. Preferred Technical background in application programming, databases, or system design. Exposure to Python programming language. Seniority level
