About this role:
As the Design Manager, you will own and mature the Design Language across products and programs. Leading a team of UX and Industrial designers, your ability to define, implement, and maintain a design system across the company will have a direct impact on our success. You will collaborate with leadership, strategy, marketing, domain experts, and engineers to enhance the user experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Drive an end-to-end intuitive user experience across mediums (Web, Mobile, Industrial Design) and disciplines, focusing on minimizing cognitive overhead of complex concepts. Discover and define interaction designs and UI patterns through engagement with our warfighter community. Lead a UI/UX team to define and deliver interaction design flows, scenarios, and structural layouts for digital and physical product interactions. Lead an Industrial Design team to inform the physical design of our products. Partner with program management, hardware, and industrial engineers to deliver thoughtful solutions for our tangible product lines. Bring a multidisciplinary view to product design, encouraging creativity and diversity of thought. Self-motivate and deliver results in a fast-paced organization. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in design leadership. Experience in prototyping and shipping products. Knowledge of Design Thinking and user-focused principles. 2+ years using modern UI design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe. Portfolio demonstrating interaction and visual design skills. Experience designing web or mobile applications. Familiarity with visual authoring tools used by engineers. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. Understanding of servant leadership, positive attitude. US Citizenship and ability to obtain US Secret Clearance. Nice to have: Knowledge of web, mobile technology constraints, and creative solutions. Experience with industrial design and physical products. Familiarity with networking and networked systems. Experience with rugged environment products. Knowledge of Linux systems. Experience working with agile teams and project management tools. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus. About Fuse:
