Media Relations Manager

Direct message the job poster from Medasource WHEN : Full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm M-F Mountain Time The Media Relations Manager will be responsible for managing and enhancing the public image of the healthcare organization through strategic communication with the media. Responsibilities : Manage media relationships throughout the Colorado region. Track media coverage of the organization, industry trends, and competitor activities. Quickly and effectively respond to media requests, information, interviews, and comments. Pitch story ideas to journalists, issue press releases, and organize media events to generate positive coverage. Travel to multiple care sites across the Denver metro area. Write press releases and develop media kits. Inform internal stakeholders about media coverage and organizational news. Requirements : Knowledge of the Colorado media market/industry. Experience working independently and effectively without close supervision while consulting and coordinating with team members and stakeholders. Experience working with and/or for a healthcare organization. Know extensively and be comfortable with AP Style. Have a journalism background with a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Business, or related field. Must be willing and comfortable working remotely, but also be able to travel to various care sites 2-3x per week. Seniority level
