Opportunity Overview
Position: Vice President, Financial Accounting Location: Dallas, Texas
Division: Controllers Job Duties:
Perform fund accounting and financial reporting for entities investing in foreign and domestic debt and equity investments at fair value.
Lead daily postings to the general ledger, investor distribution analysis, management fee calculations, quarterly financial reporting, and regulatory reporting (including federal and SEC requests).
Coordinate the audit process, implement new accounting pronouncements, and handle lender and investor reporting.
Identify process improvements and document policies and procedures.
Ensure staff are adequately trained and work is performed in a standardized manner across fund groups.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Equivalent qualifications may include a combination of degrees, diplomas, certifications, or professional credentials evaluated as equivalent by a qualified service.
At least five (5) years of experience in accounting for debt and equity investments, conducting financial audits, working with U.S. GAAP, and reviewing financial statements and general ledger postings.
