Corporate Title: Vice President Location: Dallas
Division: Asset & Wealth Management Job Duties:
Serve as Vice President, Systems Engineering at Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas (Multiple positions available).
Apply expertise across all engineering domains, including data center design, networks, storage, grid compute, operating systems, databases, communications, market data, and software languages.
Oversee the design and build-out of the firm’s computer and data infrastructure, including hardware identification and implementation of cloud-based solutions for scalable applications.
Create automated testing processes, standards, solutions, and tools to ensure operational efficiency.
Leverage data mining and machine learning to identify and respond to infrastructure and platform issues.
Analyze and resolve application issues, document error resolutions, and minimize operational errors.
Monitor application health and ensure performance standards are met.
Manage risk and costs in production and change management processes.
Automate failure responses and analyze trends to improve system stability and performance.
Handle production incidents, communicating with stakeholders, vendors, and users.
Develop sustainable systems through automation, performance tuning, and database optimization.
Plan for business continuity and disaster recovery, including contingency planning.
Job Requirements: Candidates must have either:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field, with at least three (3) years of relevant experience, including skills in performance tuning, troubleshooting, software development, database support, SDLC, SQL tuning, and systems management.
Or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields, with at least five (5) years of relevant experience, including similar skills as above.
