USCG Staffing Specialist (Fully Onsite in Baltimore)

The FYI Staffing Specialist will assist the government Civilian Human Resources Staff with the following primary responsibilities:
Drafting new vacancy announcements, recommending modifications or edits to existing vacancy announcements, and all related data in the automated staffing system.
Ensuring vacancy announcements are posted to USAJOBS and, if appropriate, other job board sites.
Coordinating with agency's HR specialists and subject matter experts (SME's) to conduct job analyses
The Staffing Specialist shall Conduct qualification reviews and generating synopses of best-qualified job applicants.
The FYI Staffing Specialist may also assist with the following responsibilities:
Drafting recruitment actions and specifying the duty statements. Specific examples include qualification standards, KSAs/questionnaire, selective factors, weighting and screen-out elements.
Assisting the agency in reviewing and maintaining the Question Library used for online vacancy announcements. Examples of support include reviewing, creating, modifying and editing position-specific questions, as new content is required for additional recruitment actions.
Requirements
: Experience designing and posting vacancy announcements on USAJobs. Experience with job analysis and designing crediting plans that include analysis of desired candidate qualifications; Experience with rating and ranking candidates, merit staffing; Must understand how to adjudicate veteran's preference; Experience conducting human resources research within the Federal Government; Experience using USAStaffingto manage job applicants. Ability to go on-site 5 days per week Preferred Experience performing other activities across the full life cycle of the Federal staffing process in addition to those described above to include: developing minimum qualification requirements, preparing certificates of eligibles, and auditing certificate of eligibles, etc. At FYI - For Your Information Inclusion and diversity are fundamental to our culture and our core value of "People First".
