Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join their team. The primary responsibility is to perform blood draws from patients throughout the day, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and recording of specimens using standard procedures. The position requires working independently and comfortably with patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients.
- Sterilize equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Accurately label and record test tubes, log procedures, and enter data into the computer system.
- Prepare specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling for processing.
- Handle approximately 20 patients per day.
- Work independently, demonstrating proficiency in phlebotomy.
- Experience in performing a high volume of blood draws.
- Phlebotomy certification is not required but preferred; medical assistants or other certifications considered with relevant experience.
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages.
- Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a half-hour lunch.
- Dress code: Scrubs in any solid color (no prints or patterns).
