Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) is the face of the organization to patients who visit for routine or critical diagnostic testing. This role involves drawing high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing while creating an atmosphere of trust, safety, and professionalism. Under minimal supervision, the PSR I performs clinical and forensic specimen collection duties with strict adherence to established procedures, confidentiality, and process accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and protocols.
• Draw blood samples from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a skillful and safe manner.
• Explain procedures and establish rapport with patients to ensure comfort and confidence.
• Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Deliver services independently, with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing staffing needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and team members.
• Perform duties in alignment with Leadership Behaviors and organizational values.
• Participate in weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime coverage as needed.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
• Medical assistant or paramedic training
• Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; REQUIRED in CA, NV, and WA)
