Sr. Professional Staff Nurse - Operating Room
Location: UPMC Passavant - McCandless
Status: Full-Time & Part-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, daylight/evening shifts (6:30 AM-10:30 PM)
Includes occasional on-call nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift lengths vary (8, 10, or 12 hours).

What You'll Do:
+ Deliver expert, compassionate surgical care
+ Lead and mentor peers and new staff
+ Collaborate across teams to improve outcomes
+ Apply evidence-based practices and support continuous learning
+ Perform scrub duties and maintain clinical standards
+ Participate in shared governance and quality initiatives
What You Bring:
+ Strong clinical skills and critical thinking
+ Commitment to patient-centered care
+ Leadership in practice, education, or innovation
+ Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to change
+ Minimum 2 years' experience.
+ BSN preferred
+ Annual completion of 2 professional contributions selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by Unit Director OR certification and 1 professional contribution selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by Unit Director as set forth through UPMC's My Nursing Career Ladder.
+ Certification not required if master's in nursing or DNP is held.
+ If a BSN is held, a master's degree in a related field may be substituted in lieu of Certification.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
