We are focused on multidisciplinary, community-informed support for our clients, addressing the root causes of unemployment and homelessness, and advocating for the basic human rights of food, health, economic and housing security. Today, BVHPF’s nearly 200 employees serve over 5,000 disadvantaged clients each year. Our programs include: Mental health counseling for youth and adults School-based mental health services Substance abuse counseling and methadone treatment Family transitional and supportive housing Rapid rehousing and flex pool housing programs Case management services at several homeless and housing programs Bayview SAFE Navigation Center These programs are funded through nearly 20 contracts with the City & County of San Francisco, and are monitored and regulated by several authorities, including CCSF and the State and Federal government. Facility Manager
to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operations of our facility located at 1625 Evans Avenue in San Francisco. This is a full-time, exempt position requiring a flexible schedule, including weekends, to support a 24/7 operation. The
Facility Manager
will lead a team of 9 janitorial staff across three shifts, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the center at all times. This role combines direct supervision, operational oversight, and occasional hands-on maintenance support to create a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for our clients and staff. What You’ll Do: Manage overall facility operations including cleanliness, safety, organization, and general upkeep. Respond to and oversee work orders and ensure timely repairs and maintenance. Supervise and support a team of 9 janitors working across three rotating shifts. Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure full coverage across all shifts. Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, and discipline as needed. Manage janitorial payroll and timekeeping using internal systems. Onboard, train, and support new janitorial staff to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery. Be available across all shifts throughout the week to address maintenance concerns, emergency issues, or staff needs. Perform basic handyman tasks and minor repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the facility. What You’ll Need: 2+ years of experience in facility management or janitorial supervision. Experience with scheduling, payroll systems, and employee supervision. Working knowledge of basic maintenance and repair work. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional overnights or emergency response. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all.
