Part-time Faculty Positions DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in various disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular needs and funding. Selected individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching specific courses. The pool remains active until the specified closing date; interested applicants must resubmit to remain in the pool beyond that date. All pool members will be notified by email when postings close. Chicago, IL - College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Responsibilities: Established in 2005, the LGBTQ Studies program offers students the opportunity to complete a minor in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Studies. The program, within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University, invites expressions of interest for adjunct teaching opportunities, which may be available throughout the academic year. Please note:
In 2024-2025, we will have particular interest in applicants with expertise in Transgender Studies and Introduction to LGBTQ Studies. Applicants with expertise matching course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Course needs fluctuate each quarter, appointments are made on a course-by-course basis, and subsequent appointments are not guaranteed. The program strives to give ample notice about available courses and cancellations. Required Qualifications: Ph.D., M.F.A., or M.A. in related fields and teaching experience at the collegiate level in any disciplinary area of LGBTQ Studies. Special Instructions to Applicants: This posting applies to fields within lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer studies. Candidates should be prepared to teach from an interdisciplinary perspective and be familiar with online teaching modalities. More information about the program and courses can be found here. Considerations: Exceptions to standard rates may apply for courses with unique credit hours, supervision, labs, clinical/practicum courses, coaching, administrative tasks, or courses with over- or under-enrollment. Compensation and Benefits: DePaul University provides a compensation range reflecting its good faith estimate at the time of posting. The final salary will depend on qualifications, experience, responsibilities, departmental budget, internal salary equity, and market factors. Benefits information can be found here. Academic Calendar: Except for the College of Law, DePaul operates on a quarter system with classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters lasting 11 weeks, and summer sessions typically 5 weeks. The College of Law operates on a semester system with 16-week fall and spring classes and a 7-week summer session. Close Date:
