Sr. Collateral Management Analyst
to join our
Collateral Operations Team
in
Newport Beach, CA . As a
Sr. Collateral Management Analyst , you will play a key role in Pacific Life's growth by providing full operational coverage to Traders and Portfolio Managers trading Derivatives. You will be part of a team of 5 within the Pacific Life Investment Division. Responsibilities include: Reviewing and validating daily collateral management processes with counterparties, Accounting, Treasury, and Portfolio Managers to ensure accurate and timely settlements. Interacting with colleagues, custodian banks, external parties, and internal departments (Accounting, Audit, Treasury, Compliance, Law, and Enterprise Risk Management) to ensure timely settlement of cash flows. Gaining comprehensive knowledge of OTC and Exchange traded derivatives, including execution methods and collateralization. Reviewing and resolving valuation discrepancies within deadlines. Developing knowledge of Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR). Working both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Applying best practices to improve products and services. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, derivatives, collateral, or investment banking. College degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred. Understanding of investment operations, regulations, trading workflows, and relevant systems. CFA/CAIA/MBA is a plus but not required. Experience supporting trading and portfolio management across derivatives. Ability to resolve complex issues with minimal supervision. Attention to detail, accuracy, and initiative for process improvements. Strong research, problem-solving, and legal document familiarity. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of collateral optimization and complex derivatives, including Bilateral OTC, Cleared, and Exchange-traded products. Familiarity with systems like Excel, Calypso, ePam, AcadiaSoft, Bloomberg, and TriResolve. We value authenticity and diversity.
