The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Database Developer to join our team and support the Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology (IT) (BEAGLE) contract. Responsibilities:

Create data models based on high level business requirements adhering to project, portfolio, enterprise, and industry standards and best practices in a cloud environment.

Design, develop, and implement version-controlled database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.

Optimize database queries, stored procedures, and functions for maximum performance and efficiency.

Develop and maintain data migration and transformation scripts.

Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.

Actively participate in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives and solution releases

Deliver deployable software in short sprints.

Qualifications:

Required:

College degree (B.S. or greater) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline (Will consider experience in lieu of education).

7+ years of experience working with relational databases, including designing data models, implementing version-controlled schema changes, and optimizing database systems.

Solid understanding of concepts such as data types, indexing, performance tuning, query plans.

Demonstrated skill to take high level requirements and work with Product Architects to create a data model to store transactional data.

Proven expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.

Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing, and managing data, as well as creating and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and views.

Experience with CDC (change data capture) concepts and usage.

Understanding of NoSQL databases such DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase.

Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control, to ensure that sensitive data is protected and compliant with government regulations.

Experience with cloud-based database services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Microsoft Azure SQL Database.

Experience with data integration tools and techniques, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and queue-based messaging systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Familiarity with microservices based architecture and its impact to data storage.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and communicate complex database concepts.

Experience helping customers and mission users conceptualize and prioritize their data analysis and visualization needs.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to:

3-year check for felony convictions

1-year check for illegal drug use

1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud

Desired:

Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, or Mongo.

Experience with geospatial data management.

Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and data streaming.

Experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra or Open Metadata.

Experience in Continuous integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps processes and tools

Experience implementing or migrating to Cloud environments like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
