Havas Media Group North America, the Media Experience agency, is looking for a VP to lead the NY Growth Team, part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people. In this team we don’t just pitch business, we craft digitally led experiences that delight our clients, prospects and internal terms in the pursuit of growth. We’re a challenger brand looking for disruptive thinkers. If you’re a fast-moving agile operator and spellbinding storyteller, you’ll fit right in and will work on some of the world’s most iconic brands with the industry’s brightest and best talent. In this dynamic role, you will provide strategic leadership and foster high-level relationships with the partner agencies (Havas Creative, Havas CX and Havas Health) as well as the following: Global and NA Growth US Specialty discipline leaders and other senior client-facing management Key Pitch consultants A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE: Oversee the development of strategic RFI / RFP responses and new business proposals. Push boundaries to deliver our work in creative and impactful ways. On live pitches, provide strategic oversight and executive direction to cross-functional teams and the process – assign and delegate work with clear accountabilities and deadlines, monitor progress, and initiate remedial actions if deliverables begin to slip. Work closely with pitch lead to ensure all materials are on brief and on brand. Work with team to develop content and coach presentation. Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with clients and consultants Conduct post-pitch assessments and reviews, refine the process so that the organization learns from its mistakes and continuous improvement is realized. Seek out opportunities to improve the new business process and operation through new techniques, tools and technologies. Work with the pitch operations team on maintenance of internal pitch reporting via InTouch, weekly statuses, and maintaining all final pitch collateral in our central intelligence platforms. Regularly communicates new business status and needs to Leadership Team and other relevant stakeholders. Capable of managing video production work including ideation of content and project management. Proactively manage agency information, i.e. keep agency information up to date, gather current case studies, etc. Maintain consistent and proactive contact and build relationships with pitch consultants and other relevant third parties, who could influence client choices when drawing up pitch lists WHAT YOU’LL NEED/SKILLS: At least 10 years of relevant experience including senior leadership roles (business development, project management, media, digital) Has a strong understanding of the marketing/communications/media sphere with extensive understanding of all aspects of the media or marketing process Possesses well-honed project management skills – to ensure accurate delivery of projects on schedule Incredible storytelling skills to help hone Havas content to reflect who we are as an agency and how we can help our clients WHO YOU ARE: Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), is a fearless and active participant in group settings, and can interface with all levels of management and personnel both internally and externally Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; equally versatile in professional and creative writing and can adapt tone, style, grammar, vocabulary, etc. based on audience Understands the value of anticipation and proactivity and actively seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and produce Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks Demonstrates visionary leadership and the ability to influence at the executive level that will motivate staff and create a positive and productive work environment Fights for improved efficiencies and doesn’t rely on the status quo. Believes in the power of platforms and AI to make us faster, smarter and better.
