Responsibilities include: Conducting programming efforts such as space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting, and color coordination. Developing innovative, practical, aesthetic, and safe design concepts aligned with client goals and budgets. Managing all phases of design projects including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, design, documentation, specifications, and construction, including furniture selection and specification. Maintaining positive client relationships and keeping them informed of project progress. Selecting and specifying furniture, lighting, flooring, wall coverings, and artwork. Estimating material requirements and costs. Soliciting bids and assisting in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and material arrangements. Ensuring projects stay on schedule and coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other disciplines. Leading construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and field reviews. Managing projects using Deltek Vision, including work plans, budgets, and change notices, and ensuring financial outcomes. Implementing HOK standards and sustainable design solutions. Additional responsibilities include: Rendering conceptual ideas and preparing 2D and 3D presentation drawings. Coordinating color and material palettes. Reviewing documents for code compliance and overseeing quality assurance. Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders. Potentially mentoring staff and supporting business development efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or equivalent. Experience in healthcare interiors preferred. Licensed or registered architect or interior designer; NCIDQ or NCARB registration preferred. LEED credential within 12 months of employment. Additional info: Travel and overtime required. Position is full-time, senior level, with a salary range of $95,000 to $110,000.
