Title and Summary Senior Vice President, Global Business Services Center, AI, Automation and Financial Systems

Mastercard’s Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) is dedicated to transforming business operations for higher efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. With over 1,200 colleagues worldwide, supporting more than 200 services across 89 countries, our team drives excellence, innovation, and collaboration to exceed expectations. We leverage a suite of services in automation, analytics, and financial systems to support stakeholders in optimizing business performance.
We are seeking a SVP, GBSC AI, Automation & Financial Systems, based in O’Fallon, MO, reporting to the EVP of GBSC and Strategy. This leader will oversee the AI and Automation strategy, governance, and implementation, focusing on operational efficiency, and manage financial systems applications and ERP environment support. The role demands a visionary leader with deep expertise in technology applications and proven experience managing large operational teams across complex functions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Mastercard Financial Systems team managing Oracle, Hyperion, Coupa, and other applications.
Lead the Automation, Analytics, and Engineering teams responsible for governance, strategy, and operations across digital ecosystems, automation, and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, etc.).
Define a multi-year AI and Automation strategy and roadmap ensuring scalability and ROI.
Identify and prioritize AI and Automation opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support decision-making.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive strategic adoption.
Implement governance frameworks to manage, monitor, and measure automation and AI initiatives.
Partner with senior stakeholders including CFOs, EVPs, and business unit leaders.
Oversee M&A due diligence and integration activities.
Ensure KPIs and service levels are met; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Manage planning, forecasting, and budgeting to optimize resources and reduce costs.
Support security posture and risk management, collaborating with IT and security teams.
Manage vendor relationships and lead a high-performing leadership team.
Collaborate across functions to identify and implement high-impact AI use cases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Technology, Data Science, Business Strategy, or related field.
15+ years in strategy, analytics, or digital transformation leadership.
Experience managing large-scale, global operations and transformation initiatives.
Expertise in technology governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
Proven track record in enterprise platform management and automation.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle complex initiatives.
Global business services or shared services experience is a plus.
Compensation: $220,000 - $400,000 USD, with potential bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health insurance, paid leave, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and more.
