Responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, managing energy, and ensuring facilities are safe and functional. Oversee installations, repairs, and upkeep operations to provide optimal working conditions for colleagues, clients, and volunteers within budget. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides administrative supervision of 1 FTE and functional supervision of 4 to 6 FTEs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect buildings regularly to ensure quality standards; monitor preventive maintenance programs. Prepare project justifications, bid documents, vendor quotes, and track invoices. Collaborate with Sr. Directors to develop strategies and improve service delivery. Foster teamwork, motivate employees, and encourage certifications in green construction, plumbing, electrical, and locksmith skills. Manage maintenance activities via CMMS System. Assist in submitting reports on cost savings, project status, and variances. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. DC 3rd Class Stationary Engineer (ICC Exam 323) License highly preferred. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) highly preferred. Certified Locksmith preferred. At least ten years of building engineering experience in a commercial setting. At least five years of supervisory experience in building engineering. Experience with appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC maintenance. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. SKILLS and COMPETENCIES: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and strong communication skills. Excellent client relationship management skills.
