The Senior Business Associate Analyst is a seasoned professional role, with 5 - 8 years of experience, ideally within the finance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high impact presentations, excellent story-telling skills, and the ability translate complex data, projects, and strategic bodies of work into clear, concise, and visually compelling content. They will also be able to Integrate subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. The role requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively work together, as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Operate independently while maintaining high attention to detail.
Take initiative to identify areas for improvement in process and messaging
Identify key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
Establish project communication needs and create project communication plan.
Conducts ongoing research on effective mediums and tools to improve the communications.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Presentation Development and Design
Create polished, professional presentation for internal audiences, tailored to executive stakeholders
Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, visually compelling slides
Support preparation of executive updates, business reviews, and strategy presentations
Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into cohesive and concise executive narratives
Anticipate questions and data needs of executive audiences and ensure clarity in messaging
Drafts and communicates any staff briefs, including system changes.
Cross Functional Collaboration on Projects
Work closely with Finance, Enterprise Data Office, Operations and Technology to gather relevant insights and data
Partner with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and effective communication of key content and project updates
Participate in and facilitate meetings to collect information and inform strategy
Coordinates and disseminates information of process, policy and procedure changes and ensuring the successful completion of projects managed.
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
Acts as a point of contact and liaison between department and required business areas for the implementation of activities to ensure accurate communication to management.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience, preferably in the finance or professional services industry.
Knowledge of commercial loans, Loan IQ, or large transformational project management.
Demonstrate strong business knowledge including the understanding of core businesses, supporting processes and operations.
Proven track record of managing projects, creating executive-level presentations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skill; ability to craft clear narratives from complex information
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint; working knowledge of Excel, Word and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership
Outstanding problem-solver, should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree in Business, Finance, Communications or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
