Position Summary The Director of Business Systems is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Vertex’s enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, automation tools, and reporting systems. This role works cross-functionally to identify needs, configure solutions, and deliver tools that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business insight. The Director combines strong technical ability with a deep understanding of business processes and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Business System Implementation & Support Lead end-to-end execution of system initiatives including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation. Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for ERP, CRM, and related applications. Evaluate and implement system upgrades, enhancements, or new technologies as needed. 2. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a trusted partner to business units by translating operational needs into effective technology solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define project requirements and priorities. Coordinate with external vendors or internal IT teams as needed to ensure successful delivery of systems and enhancements. 3. Customizations, Integrations & Automation Customize and extend system functionality using APIs, scripts, workflows, or low-code tools. Design and manage integrations between systems to streamline processes and ensure data consistency. Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to reduce manual tasks and increase productivity. 4. Reporting, Dashboards & Data Insights Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for operations and executive leadership. Ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms. Translate business questions into technical reporting requirements and actionable insights. 5. Process Optimization & Documentation Analyze business processes and recommend technology-driven improvements. Document systems, workflows, configurations, and customizations for future reference and support. Contribute to user documentation and knowledge sharing across departments. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of hands-on experience with business systems implementation, customization, and support. Strong experience with ERP/CRM platforms, data integration tools, and reporting technologies. Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and/or low-code platforms. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple initiatives across business functions. Travel up to 10% of the time may be required.
