Yard Associate
to join our team and support our mission by maintaining an organized yard, operating heavy equipment, and assisting customers with their orders.
Role Summary
The
Yard Associate
plays a critical role in ensuring efficient yard operations and a positive customer experience. This position involves loading and unloading delivery trucks, keeping the yard clean and organized, and assisting customers with loading materials. Success in this role requires strong planning, organizational skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts to load/unload product Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and outdoor yard Ensure materials are properly labeled, packaged, and stored Perform visual quality checks to ensure materials meet company standards Assist customers in locating and loading materials into their vehicles Accurately complete all end-of-shift documentation Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and work areas Prioritize and plan daily work based on business needs Uphold safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times Support a team-oriented, customer-focused work environment Demonstrate our core values of

High school diploma or equivalent Forklift certification required Heavy equipment operation experience preferred Must be 18 years of age or older Proficiency in English; Spanish-speaking strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with inventory control processes Basic math skills and computer knowledge preferred Point-of-sale (POS) experience a plus Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and move 25-75 lbs. without assistance Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent stooping, bending, and manual operation of equipment Regular operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and other power industrial trucks Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind) Use of appropriate PPE (safety vests, gloves, eye protection) Work Environment & Schedule
Onsite at our store, outdoor yard, and warehouse environments Exposure to weather and yard machinery is expected Full-time position (40 hours/week), with seasonal fluctuation Weekend work and overtime may be required based on business needs
