About this Job As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Assistant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for patients. This position will ensure that patient check-in processes run smoothly, insurance is verified, and patient records are up-to-date, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Major Responsibilities Patient Check-In : Welcome patients upon arrival, confirm appointments, and guide them through the check-in process. Insurance Verification : Verify insurance details, ensure eligibility, and explain any pertinent payment policies to patients. Demographic Updates : Confirm and update patient contact information, emergency contacts, and other essential details. Communication Management : Answer and triage incoming phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, directing calls to appropriate personnel, and ensuring efficient communication. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in administrative services in a healthcare setting; OR

Two years of experience or training in patient care; OR

An associate's degree or certificate in a medical assistant training program.
