PM Restaurant Bar-Back/Busser
Marriott Westchase Hotel is looking for a Full-Time PM Restaurant Bar-Back and Busser. In this position, you will support the lobby bar and dining staff by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby bar and dining areas, ensuring smooth and efficient dining experience for guests, while also providing vital support to the bartenders with glassware, ice refills, and bar setup. This is a Full-Time position that will include various days of the week, including weekdays, weekends and holidays, working shifts between 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, with the flexability to stay later for special events up to 2:00 AM. Schedules change weekly based on business demands. Specifically, in your role as the PM Restaurant Bar-Back and Busser your primary responsibilities are the following: Promptly clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining and prepare table for next guest, ensuring a clean and inviting environment for incoming guests. Set tables following established standards for table set-up, including inspecting dishes, utensils, and glassware for cleanliness and in proper condition. Provide excellent guest service by being proactive, looking for opportunities to assist guests with their needs or inquiries, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to tables as needed in a timely manner. Assist with the set-up, maintaining and cleanup of the lobby bar. Maintain cleanliness in dining and bar service areas, including sweeping and mopping floors as required. Maintain stock and cleanliness of all stations, both dining and bar, with necessary equipment, including silverware, linen, beverages and condiments. Perform opening and closing duties and required side-work for role. Memorize table numbers and seat numbers of the dining room and bar. Maintain expected high standards for uniform and personal appearance. Participate in daily routine, detailed restaurant and kitchen clean-up and maintenance tasks. This list is not all inclusive, additional job functions will be shared during interviews. The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Due to the seasonal nature and business hours of a hotel, candidates must realize it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift to meet business demands. All associates are expected to perform any other duties as requested by management to support other departments and/or operational requirements. Qualifications: Ability to effectively understand and communicate in the English language. Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism. Able to easily adapt to unexpected changes and prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods. Moves food, equipment, carts, and tubs weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly. Moves through-out the lobby bar, restaurant and kitchen areas, including frequent and repeated climbing up and down stairs, carrying glasswear, ice buckets, and tubs. Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift. Capable of frequent and repeated lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and extending arms fully. Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization. Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation. Able to work in a busy restaurant environment, including exposure to various noise levels and large crowds. Professional Licenses/Certifications: Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification are required. Experience: Previous experience in a food service environment is preferred. Excellent Benefits!
