Job Summary
The Financial Analyst Pricing plays a critical role in supporting ARGOs strategic financial planning and pricing initiatives. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, developing pricing models, forecasting revenue, and supporting decision-making processes across software solutions and sales departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical acumen, advanced Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset to help drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Financial Analysis & Reporting - 30% Pricing Strategy & Cost-Benefit Modeling - 25% Forecasting & Budgeting - 20% Cross-Functional Collaboration -15% Presentations & Ad-Hoc Projects -10%
Expected Work And Performance (essential Functions)
Conduct comprehensive financial services research and industry benchmarking to inform pricing strategies. Analyze financial and operational data to support revenue planning and cost optimization. Collaborate with the accounting team to integrate revenue projections into financial models. Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models and cost-benefit analyses using Excel and other tools. Compare forecasted financial outcomes with actual results post-implementation and provide variance analysis. Prepare detailed financial reports including budgets, revenue and expense trends, and business performance metrics. Build and refine forecasting models to evaluate market volume, pricing elasticity, and margin trends. Deliver clear, data-driven presentations to internal stakeholders, including pricing recommendations and financial insights. Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments. Ensure strict confidentiality and security of all customer and financial data.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics (preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pricing analyst or financial analyst role.
Required Skills / Experience / Knowledge
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, charts, graphs, and macros. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proven ability to interpret and analyze financial reports and data sets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Knowledge
Experience with financial planning tools such as Hyperion, Essbase, or Oracle PBCS. Familiarity with software industry pricing models and SaaS financial metrics. Experience in developing dashboards or data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Exposure to project-based financial modeling and ROI analysis.
ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION
The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects.
