C++ Storge Systems Engineer
A world-leading global systematic prop firm is seeking a highly skilled C++ Storage Systems Engineer to join its Core Infrastructure team supporting a multi-billion-dollar technology trading platform. This role demands strong expertise in building and maintaining low-latency, high-availability storage and data processing systems deployed globally in ultra-low latency trading environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance storage and data infrastructure components written in C++ that meet stringent latency and availability requirements.
Optimize and tune storage subsystems, including memory management, I/O operations, and multi-threaded concurrency to achieve ultra-low latency.
Work closely with hardware teams to understand hardware/software interactions and optimize system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including trading, risk, and research to build scalable storage solutions for real-time data processing.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level performance and reliability issues.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
Required Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience developing high-availability, low-latency storage or data systems in C++ within performance-sensitive environments.
Strong background in multi-threaded programming, concurrency, and synchronization techniques.
Experience working with large-scale, real-time data or storage systems, including familiarity with memory management, caching, and data throughput optimization.
Prior involvement in complex projects such as custom storage engines, trading matching engines, or similar data-intensive real-time systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the financial trading domain or other ultra-low latency, mission-critical systems is highly desirable.
