Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven
Business Systems Analyst
to join our dynamic IT team. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, supporting custom and third-party applications across a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on identifying business needs, designing effective solutions, and ensuring successful implementation to help the organization achieve its strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Analyze business needs and translate them into clear, actionable system and functional requirements. Collaborate with the Lead Business Systems Analyst to evaluate and prioritize concurrent initiatives. Serve as a subject matter expert for business users within specific functional areas. Develop and maintain detailed functional and system design documentation. Lead and participate in test planning, execution, and defect management to ensure thorough QA and risk mitigation. Support user acceptance testing, and assist with issue identification and resolution. Promote team collaboration through peer reviews, constructive feedback, and a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain high standards in documentation and production readiness. Manage the full project lifecycle for mid-level complexity projects, including planning, analysis, development, implementation, training, and documentation. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for a portfolio of business applications across departments, with an emphasis on service-level compliance. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in IT, Business Information Systems, or related field with 5+ years of IT experience (OR High School Diploma with 13+ years of relevant IT experience) Minimum 3 years of experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, creating specifications, testing, and providing post-implementation support. Proven success managing projects with budgets over $50K, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Baan or e-Emphasys preferred), including system integration, configuration, and process improvement. Experience working in a global manufacturing environment with $800M+ in revenue is a strong plus. Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and application-related controls. Technical & Professional Skills: Proficient in translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Effective communicator across all organizational levels and with external vendors or partners. Skilled in workforce analytics, dashboard configuration, and systems reporting. Able to maintain a strategic view while executing detailed tasks and deliverables. Comfortable leading meetings, presenting insights, and influencing cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes, including test case development and defect resolution. Personal Attributes: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and listening skills. Customer-focused with a can-do attitude and a commitment to results. Demonstrates the highest integrity and reliabilityfollows through on commitments.
