We are seeking a Class to cover for drivers on PTO and work comp.This is a temporary position so best suited for someone in between jobs.
You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds. Deliver roughly 10 to 15 customers a day in PA, NJ, DE, all within a 75-mile radius of customer.
Tuesday thru Friday, 6 AM dispatch.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck Load and unload cargo Properly track and document activity log Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Inspect truck before and after trip All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route in the order they are designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck back to the assigned lot at the end of the route. Qualifications:
Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields Commercial driver's license Ability to handle physical workload Strong work ethic
