Conduct FIPS 140 validation projects Perform general and system-level security analysis Participate in architectural and design efforts Execute vulnerability and physical security testing Evaluate products against Protection Profiles and technology standards Test cryptographic systems and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Perform cryptographic algorithm validation Review source code for security implications Author and peer-review detailed technical reports Automate tests using scripting Develop custom applications to support test scenarios Required Qualifications
Certification:
CVP Certified Tester (CVP Cert/CMVP Cert) BS Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of: Cryptographic algorithms (encryption, key exchange, hashing, authentication) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), random number generation
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, Python, or Java Strong understanding of security standards and compliance Network setup experience, including subnetting and routing concepts Familiarity with security protocols (SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.) Hands-on experience in: Building and managing testing environments Technical documentation and reporting
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills Preferred Qualifications
Python development experience Debugging tools proficiency (adb, WinDBG, Visual Studio, etc.) Experience in entropy source statistical analysis Knowledge of OpenSSL and/or OpenPGP Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing expertise Solid foundation in computer security best practices Strong written and verbal communication skills Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) Familiarity with Active Directory and Linux environments Hands-on use of lab equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, multi-meter, etc.) Understanding of X.509 certificate validation
