Job Title: Assembler I
Location: Onsite - Oconomowoc, WI 53066
Position Type: Full-Time with benefits and rewards
Shift Timing: 6 AM to 2 PM or 7 AM - 3 PM CST
Position Summary: The
Assembler I
is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical assembly operations in accordance with engineering drawings, safety protocols, and established standards. This role serves as the entry point in a five-tier progression system that promotes skill development and increased responsibility through structured training and certification. This is a hands-on, dynamic position with a variety of tasks-ideal for individuals who enProduct problem-solving, learning new techniques, and working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: General Responsibilities (All Levels):
Perform assembly tasks using hand and power tools in compliance with safety standards. Lift components and materials (up to 50 lbs) and operate cranes and forklifts (certification required). Follow work instructions and quality standards accurately. Read and interpret technical documents including engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts. Identify and report defects; support corrective action processes. Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Assembler I-Specific Duties:
Assist with basic mechanical and electrical assembly following detailed work instructions. Operate hand and power tools under supervision. Begin training on specialized equipment (e.g., tube straighteners, hydrotest machines). Start learning manual tube bending techniques. Participate in required safety and quality training sessions. Support general housekeeping and organizational efforts. Learn and perform basic administrative tasks in the Kinetic ERP system
Qualifications: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrates "A Player" Competencies: Aptitude, Alliance, Agility, Accountability, Awareness, and Anticipation. Positive attitude with a sense of ownership and accountability. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office and ERP systems). Attention to detail with strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. Ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Normal color vision (required for identifying wire colors).
