Position Summary Information

Summary

This dual-role position includes serving as a practicing primary care physician and as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for NEOMED Clinical Services and will provide high-quality primary care while also offering strategic leadership and clinical oversight for a growing academic practice. The role supports NEOMED's educational mission, engages in interprofessional collaboration, and helps shape the expansion of regional clinical services.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

Patient Care:

Provide high-quality, compassionate primary care across the lifespan. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based practices. Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system for timely and accurate documentation. Prioritize equity, cultural competence, and shared decision-making in clinical interactions.

Clinical and Strategic

Leadership: Serve as the Chief Medical Officer for NEOMED Clinical Services. Lead clinical practice operations, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives. Supervise physicians and advanced practice providers; provide annual reviews and feedback. Ensure regulatory compliance, oversee credentialing, and support continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with the NEOMED President and leadership team on regional clinical program development and expansion.

Education and Mentorship:

May participate in medical education through clinical teaching and mentorship.

Other Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Current and unrestricted Ohio medical license Active DEA registration Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical care operations Commitment to interdisciplinary care, health equity, and community health Experience with EMR systems and quality improvement practices Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care

Physical Requirements

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office and clinical equipment.
