Financial Analyst
Under general supervision prepares financial and business related analysis in the area of finance and general accounting. This position will support finance in preparing financial statements, budgets and forecasts and supporting revenue and sales analysis by gathering and analyzing data for various reports. Takes initiative and continually strives to improve processes. What the Financial Analyst will do: Under general supervision, performs moderately complex analyses. Assists in the preparation of forecasts. Assists in monthly financial close including preparation of various journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions and variance analyses. Prepares revenue and cost analyses and monthly revenue gain/loss schedules. Prepares and reviews financial performance as requested. Work directly with the senior leadership team to manage monthly reporting, financial analysis and the multi-year planning and forecasting process. What the Financial Analyst will need: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration or Engineering; or other Bachelor's with relevant healthcare experience Preferred: Master degree in Business (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Accounting (MSA), Engineering or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Minimum: 1-3 years experience in related field. Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of spreadsheet and database software (Excel and Access). Preferred: Understanding of ambulatory operations, project management skills, and process improvement techniques. Knowledge of healthcare industry, reimbursement, diagnosis codes, and charge master.
