Senior Technology Leader For Global Supply Chain Digital & Tech Architecture

The role holder is a senior technology leader for the Global Supply Chain Digital & Tech Architecture function at GSK, reporting to the VP of Primary and Small Molecule / Smart Manufacturing Cross Workstream Leader. The role holder will drive successful execution and continuous improvement of Smart Manufacturing program technology capability governance, building collaboration relationships with Smart Manufacturing business process owners, workstream leaders, solution architects, and enterprise architects. The Chief Architect for Smart Manufacturing is responsible for the technology architectural leadership / strategy for the entire domain and is the organization's top architectural expert, acting as single point of contact for Enterprise Architecture, centralizing engagement of architects transversally across the department. Advises Global Supply Chain Senior Leadership on best placement of technology capabilities considering the type of site, drives decisions for site archetype technical interdependencies, including OT/IT integration, data collection for analytics, Factory Integration Layer, and relationships / positioning of Manufacturing Execution Systems, ERP, Laboratory Execution Systems, Quality Document Management, etc. Collaborates closely with S4/HANA ERP program for interdependencies and architecture decisions affecting Smart Manufacturing. Drives technical Master Data Management strategy, program, and governance for GSC. Build product and technology roadmap consistent with GSK's design authority standards while bringing in best practices and industry standard perspectives. Advise business on process optimization, enable development of business capabilities, define data ontologies and align technology capabilities with business needs. Streamline technology products, harmonize platforms, rationalize tech landscape, and build reusable components to enable exponential growth in tech-driven solutions. The ideal candidate should possess architecture governance and design authority experience at a program level. This is essential for driving strategic direction and ensuring alignment within the supply chain and enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps. Key Responsibilities Responsible for development and maintenance of key architectural artifacts for Smart Manufacturing program, harmonizing across towers and domains, approved tech platforms, end to end data flow

coordinating and leveraging the efforts of the department Solution Architects, SMEs, and other resources across the organization. Consolidate GSC Smart Manufacturing requirements for Edge solution, with relevant design inputs. Manage Smart Manufacturing interdependencies, crossing programs (S/4HANA, others as required). Drive robust, repeatable assessment model and governance for technical decisions, with clear communications to publish decisions for benefit of the program. Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture and Global Platforms and Technology teams to drive GSC technology solutions following GSK enterprise tech strategies (Edge, Cloud, others). Collaborate with Smart Mfg workstream leads, Archetype Owners, Process Owners, Solution Architects to analyze business needs and deliver appropriate technology solutions. Balance business needs, technology capability, strategic intent, total cost of ownership and ultimately value for GSK when making decisions. Act as GSC Tech leader for Master Data Management strategy, program governance, and execution. Establish technology architecture roadmaps, reference and target architecture, architectural and design principles, best practices, patterns, and standards, oversee adherence to defined technology architecture principles and standards. Manage matrix team to define architecture framework and actual architecture for all solutions, well-integrated, across technologies, maintain / document and review architecture constantly, lead intake process to assess architecture needs for GSC Tech epics. Knowledge/Education Required Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, other relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience. Enterprise Architecture, Cloud architecture/services, Architecture Design Principles. OT/IT Shopfloor architecture patterns, standards (S88, S95 / Purdue Model), ALCOA+. Technical competency (Note: equivalent practical experience is equally acceptable). Preferred Level of Education Master's degree in computer science or equivalent Previous Experience Required Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required 8 years of experience in enterprise/solution technology architecture management, enterprise system technology, infrastructure, integration, cloud, hosting and shared technology services. Minimum of 3 years of management experience working in a matrix organization organizing and managing large teams is required. Must have a successful track record of tactical execution. Must have a history of providing vision and leadership. Should have demonstrated an exceptional grasp of corporate strategy. Experience working in a regulated industry, such as healthcare, financial services, or biotech is strongly desired. Excellent people leadership qualities in both a direct and matrix organisation. Strong 3rd party vendor management. Excellent senior stakeholder management. Able to demonstrate technical breadth across Enterprise Technology portfolio. Excellent cross-functional planning and execution. Experience with public cloud; design and implementation, automation & security across IaaS and PaaS architypes. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to describe complex & abstract technical concepts up to board level. Coaching and Mentoring Preferred Qualifications Understanding of regulations that impact the consumer health industry (e.g., GxP, GDPR / Schrems, Sarbanes Oxley). Understanding of core technology hardware & operational technology in R&D, Vaccine, Small Molecule, and Biologics manufacturing and supply chain environments. Any of the following a bonus: Cloud Architect Certifications (Azure, GCP). ITIL / Agile /Product certifications. TOGAF or similar professional accreditation. Required to create and lead a world class enterprise architecture technology domain services capability.
