The OSUCCC-James Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) is a comprehensive bench-to-bedside research initiative focused on harnessing the body's immune system to fight cancer at all levels

from prevention to treatment and survivorship. PIIO researchers work to understand fundamental mechanisms of cancer immunology towards the development of novel immunotherapeutics in the areas of systems immuno-oncology, immunogenomics, cell therapy and translational immuno-oncology. The PIIO Immune Monitoring and Discovery Platform has launched its Center for Antibody Therapeutics (CAT). We are building a specialized resource dedicated to the discovery, production, and translation of antibody-based cancer therapies. The CAT will leverage cutting-edge technologies to develop monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), antibody engineering, and other antibody-based immunotherapies from early stages such as antigen identification, antibody design and production to future clinical grade antibody productions. The center will serve fundamental researchers, clinician scientists, and external partners by providing essential expertise and infrastructure to accelerate immuno-oncology research from basic science discovery to translation and commercialization. We are seeking a Research Associate to support initiatives within the Center for Antibody Therapeutics. Key responsibilities include: Research Execution:

Conduct assigned experiments independently, including advanced

in vitro

and

in vivo

techniques. Perform molecular biology tasks such as DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, and antibody development. Execute protein biochemistry techniques, including antibody/protein purification, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and flow cytometry. Manage mammalian and bacterial cell cultures, including bispecific antibodies and CAR-T/CAR-NK systems. Conduct

in vitro

assays such as ADCC, CDC, IncuCyte, RTCA cytotoxicity assays, and Biacore analyses. Develop cancer animal models using techniques like tail vein, intraperitoneal, and subcutaneous injections, small animal imaging, and therapeutic testing.

Data Management:

Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data. Record and consolidate results for evaluation, grant proposals, and publications. Summarize research findings for presentations, manuscripts, and progress reports.

Laboratory Operations:

Oversee and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure accurate records of laboratory activities. Monitor and manage research supplies and inventory. Ensure adherence to safety and procedural standards in laboratory operations.

Collaboration and Training:

Train and mentor junior research staff, undergraduate, and graduate students in research methods and equipment use. Collaborate with team members to improve existing protocols and develop new experimental procedures.
