Maintenance Technician
Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will serve to independently and collaboratively troubleshoot industrial electromechanical systems and machinery, operating within the maintenance department. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site. Base Pay: $27.00/hr to $32.00/hr. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc. Responsibilities
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Interface with machine operators to understand and determine the cause of machine issues. Ensure operation of machinery and other production equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. Able to diagnose defective mechanical parts, and disassemble the components for repair using hoists, fork lifts, and other equipment. Fabricate and/or repair machine parts using measuring devices, mills, lathes, and welders. Observe all OSHA and NFPA regulations at all times, and wear proper PPE at all times. Coordinate with all departments, supervisor, and department manager. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned. Exercises independent judgement regarding assigned responsibilities and consults manager in situations that would have a significant impact on machine availability. Qualifications
