Position Title: Packroom Associate Function: Operations Location: Columbus West Job Group/Grade: JG1, H05 Position Summary: Responsible for processing cannula through packaging

inspection operations. This includes loading and unloading, inspecting product, removing defective product, recording inspection and production data, monitoring the performance of the equipment, and notifying set-up for repairs so that continuous work patterns are maintained. Perform 100% Inspect Qc checks, and check material into SAP. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English or Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Duties/Responsibilities: 100% inspect cartridges using a microscope. Inspect finished product, remove defects, straighten and align product for shipment Package cannula into cartridge and/or bundle pack into box as required by specification Maintain record keeping which include production, labor, waste, quality, material transfer and inventory logs Assist QC Manufacturing Representative and/or QC Technician in performing machine and process capability studies, etc. Assist in changeovers Inspect product, checking for good etch and defects Transfer cannula, band, document and pack out finished product Maintain neat, clean and orderly work area Hand load material Run Auto Inspect machines Check material in at small gauge Post Soni -Clean Be able to 100% inspect cartridges before shipment Maintain equipment performance Make process equipment adjustments, as required so that continuous work patterns and operations are maintained. Clean up as required Use macroscope, microscope, calipers, laser rotation and other test equipment to perform QC requirements Notify set-up, utility and technicians when necessary. Monitor and perform quality inspections of the product, process and notify QC or set-up when out-of-specification occurs Weigh

count and pack material for shipment. Inspection of Pointed Cannula/Stylets Operate manual and automatic cleaning lines and preclean operation. Load product to the preclean operations Bundle pack material after sonoclean Check Cannula for ID Cleanliness, Clogs, Stains, etc. Use SAP Post Soni Clean Transaction Place cut cannula and wires on proper length tapes using either manual taping boards or auto taping machines. Install catch wheel. Install tape guides. Adjust tape rollers as needed. Coordinate the loading of product for preclean operations. Perform transactions to move stylets from the inventory locator system and perform all appropriate inventory paperwork Inspect pointed cannula for defective cannula per applicable QC Specifications. Remove defective cannula during inspection to the appropriate waste container. Perform QC Checks per QC specifications (rotation, bevels, overall length, point length, bore, burns, etc.). Perform periodic and as needed QC check per QC Specifications (dimensional checks, point length, bevel length, overall length, burr clogs, rotation, etc.). Use macroscope, microscope, calipers, laser rotation, or other test equipment to perform QC requirements Other duties as required to support the needs of the business Education: High School diploma/GED preferred In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required Experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred Previous experience with MES preferred Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere
