Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate T&D Planning team activities including organization of team meetings, monitoring of department O&M and capital budgets, vendor invoice verifications, KPI monitoring and reporting, project tracking, as well as administrative functions (e.g. travel arrangements, expense reporting and office supplies monitoring). Position will be full-time in office (Tulsa, OK) What You'll Do: Coordinates work activities of others within the work group, team or those located externally to AEP including contractors, vendors as required to resolve routine tasks and work activities. Demonstrates ability to work beyond routine assignments by independently solving moderately complex to complex problems. Participates in providing training, performance improvements for projects and activities. Develops and maintains cross-departmental and external rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with customers. Effectively manages conflict and builds consensus for agreement concerning business and/or work issues. Clearly and concisely develops and presents or reviews reports with team members, internal and external customers as needed. Initiates, leads and facilitates meetings effectively. Provides input to routine project planning and schedule. Understands the use of scheduling techniques for budget and planning activities. Assists in the planning of projects/assignments. Monitors work according to schedule and recommend necessary actions. Navigates collection of data and reports as required by impromptu information requests from direct and executive level management. Supports collection and organization of data necessary for regulatory filings. What We're Looking For: Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance from an accredited college, or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance from an accredited college, or related field 2+ years of experience. Minimum requirement includes two to four years' experience working on cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, and working with accounting principles. Skills required - Proficient in use of computer and MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a professional demeanor and commitment to customer service and teamwork.
