Reid Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We are seeking an experienced Manager, Tax & Accounting to join our team. The candidate will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. Key Objectives: Candidate will work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research Strong experience using tax software with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, Microsoft Office and Intuit QuickBooks preferred Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments Ability to apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to clients and be able to identify where they may impact a client and recommend strategies Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate Proactive, self-motivated, well organized, and possess the ability to manage work effectively with others while managing client relationships Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team Superior attention to detail Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting (Required) CPA (Required) Real Estate background (Preferred) At least 7+ years of experience in a CPA firm (Required) Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products (Preferred) Able to work independently and within a team environment Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively A team player that possesses a positive, "can do" attitude with a "firm first" mindset Review engagement work papers, resolve any problems, and keep the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement. Coordinates the various phases of an engagement, including Staff requirements, job planning and scheduling. Supervise staff accountants, provide feedback to them, and evaluate their progress. Become an expert in assigned areas. Assist in administrative functions as assigned by the partners. Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and efficiencies within the workplace. Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 9:00am

Remote to Hybrid with increased hours for busy seasons Ability to commute/relocate: Columbia or Lexington, South Carolina - This position is initially remote; however, it will transition into a hybrid role once we establish an office in South Carolina. This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs. We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $100K
$135K annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
