Job Title: On-Call Recovery Counselor Division/Program: (Adult Inpatient) Crisis Residential Unit Starting Compensation: 17.46 - 19.00 USD Per Hour Working Location: Merced, CA Working Hours/Shift: On Call Why Join Our Team? High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a social science field preferred. (1) year of full-time direct care experience preferred OR (1) year experience of non-professional consumer-directed internship in mental health field preferred. Valid California Driver's License required How You Will Make A Difference: Promotes and assists clients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming and other activity or nursing activities. Conducts and assists activity groups and community outings independently. Encourages appropriate behavior and providing feedback to clients. Accurately documents in writing each client's attendance and response to activity and therapeutic groups or individual counseling in the individual medical record. Prepare meals and snacks, as needed, while maintaining compliance with facility and licensing kitchen/safe food handling procedures and clean up. Attends all monthly mandatory All Staff Meetings. Division/Program Overview: 24/7 inpatient voluntary program 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59) Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services Pre-vocational or vocational counseling Medication evaluation and support services In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 17.46 - 24.44. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
