Academic Affairs Analyst
Reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Affairs, the Academic Affairs Analyst assists in providing high-level administrative, operational, and budgetary support to the Office of the Provost within the Division of Academic Affairs. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of Academic Affairs and supports a broad range of responsibilities including assisting in budgeting, securing faculty documentation and compliance, and coordination with special academic units. This position will assist the Senior Director to ensure synchronicity between Workday and Adaptive Planning, maintaining spreadsheets, participating in budget monthly meetings and providing training. Financial Reporting and Monitoring by: Generating and executing requisitions/purchase orders/reimbursements, monthly expense reports, reconciliation of monthly budget through Workday Financials and EOC reports. Monitoring expenses against the General Ledger (GL) and Adaptive Budget Planning to ensure proper cost center allocations. Generating reports for disbursements, special analysis, FTE reports and other informational purposes. Presenting recommendations for changes and/or improvements, as well as monetary control, to the Senior Director. Ensuring enrollment numbers are met for each activity pay prior to payment and verifications through Faculty Workload and Registrar reports. Processing of Activity Pays on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and maintaining budgeted items. Academic Reporting & Monitoring by: Collecting, reviewing and processing the faculty workload reports to submit to the Senior Director for final approval. Reviewing of semester course offerings for alignment with faculty assignments and institutional planning. Processing of Instructors' resumes and transcripts into Workday. Overseeing Anthology and assisting colleges/schools with course evaluations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail required. Experience extracting and evaluating data from multiple sources via query tools such as Colleague, Adaptive Planning, and/or Workday required. Ability to plan and organize work, as well as the ability to work successfully, both independently and in a collaborative team environment, with multiple tasks and shifting priorities as needed. Extensive computer skills with proficiency and expertise in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite including applications in Excel. Proficiency in Workday, Adaptive Planning, Colleague, SharePoint, Anthology, and the Barry Dashboard. Excellent written and oral communication.
