As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and discreet Executive Protection Specialist to ensure the safety and security of our executive leadership. Position Overview

As an Executive Protection Specialist at Tempus, you will be responsible for safeguarding our executive team through proactive threat assessments, secure transportation, travel coordination, and physical protection. This role requires a blend of situational awareness, discretion, planning, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate brings deep protective experience, preferably in corporate or government settings, and understands the nuances of working within a high-profile, fast-moving tech environment. Key Responsibilities

Provide close protection to designated executives during domestic and international travel, at the office, home, and public/private events. Conduct threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments (TRVA) for locations, routes, and events. Liaise with local law enforcement and security services when appropriate. Plan and execute advance security operations for travel, including route reconnaissance, venue security assessments, and transportation logistics. Coordinate secure travel logistics in collaboration with executive assistants and travel teams. Monitor relevant security intelligence to identify potential threats. Maintain readiness to respond to medical or security emergencies. Protect confidential information and maintain a high level of discretion at all times. Assist with residential security assessments and enhancements. Collaborate with cyber, physical, and facilities security teams to ensure a holistic security posture Qualifications

5+ years of experience in executive protection, dignitary protection, or high-level security operations. Prior military, law enforcement, or federal protective service experience is preferred. Experience supporting C-level executives in a corporate environment is strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; advanced defensive/evasive driving training is a plus. Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure. Professional appearance and excellent communication skills. Flexibility to travel frequently (domestic and international) and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. First Aid/CPR/AED certified (TCCC or EMT certification preferred). Familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence tools is a plus. Preferred Attributes

Illinois Range: $90,000-$120,000 The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
