Graduate Advising And Recruiting Coordinator
Reporting to the Dean, Cotsakos College of Business (CCOB), the Graduate Advising and Recruiting Coordinator, is responsible for helping to meet annual graduate enrollment goals by developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment plan with strategies to recruit, select and yield potentially successful candidates for enrollment in the college's graduate programs. Position significantly supports the advisement, and retention of graduate students. Position also manages the College's website and social media accounts to increase the College's online presence by keeping content and design current; facilitates effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The duties and responsibilities of this 12-month, full-time position are performed in collaboration with the university's Enrollment Management team, Director of Graduate Programs - CCOB, Marketing and Public Relations Office, Office of Graduate Admissions, Registrar's Office, department chairs and deans and other campus offices. Assists with crafting and implementing strategies to grow enrollment of potentially successful and diverse learners into the College's graduate programs. Builds relationships, and forges partnerships, with regional businesses, non-profits, hospitals, social service agencies, professional associations, economic development agencies, alumni networks and similar entities, to build awareness of, and grow enrollment in the college's graduate programs. Develops, coordinates and delivers outreach programs and marketing strategies related recruitment efforts. Drives recruitment, admissions and yield management of prospective graduate students. Interviews potential students to assess their suitability for enrollment. Reviews graduate applications in Slate Reader, recommends admissions decisions to the Graduate Admissions Office, and enters applicable foundation course waivers in university software. Advises incoming and current graduate students on course selection and registration. Works with the Graduate Admissions Office and stakeholders within the CCOB in planning and executing virtual and on campus events that encourage applications, enrollment and retention. Assists with managing and supporting the College's website and social media accounts to increase the College's online presence by keeping content and design current and facilitating effective Web-based communication with internal and external stakeholders. Ensures consistent, accurate and relevant content on the College's web pages, relevant social media accounts and recruitment materials Represents the Cotsakos College of Business at meetings, conferences, or events and conducts presentations, etc. regarding program offerings. Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position. Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Masters preferred. Appropriate fields of study include business, marketing, psychology, communications, public relations, or related majors. Track record of successful recruitment and enrollment outcomes realized through collaborations with stakeholders such as faculty, student organizations, industry, NGOs, professional organizations, or governmental entities. Knowledge of academic and career planning practices and techniques. Experience with Microsoft Suite, web editing tools and social media. Competencies/Skills Required Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including public presentations, to communicate effectively with diverse university and public audiences. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set reasonable and attainable milestones, and stay on timeline to achieve agreed upon goals Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain relationships with diverse groups including work colleagues, external clients, prospective students, employers' representatives and community members. Able to stay motivated and effective when working independently Evidence of working effectively in teams Other Information Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments.
