Position Summary
The Ski Valet stores and retrieves guest ski equipment in an efficient and courteous manner. Assists in numerous functions related to maintaining efficient and high-quality shop operations. This position reports to the Front Office Manager. Job Posting Deadline
Applications for this position will be accepted until August 17, 2025. Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
Provide fast, accurate and appropriate storage and retrieval of a variety of winter sports equipment
Greet guests and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with guest needs
Act independently to assure efficient, clean and organized shop/facilities operations at all times
Maintain a broad knowledge base adequate to answer all guest equipment-related queries as well as a variety of resort-wide information
Acquire and retain detailed Rental and Retail product knowledge to best serve guests
Utilize great attention to detail in the completion of all tasks and in supporting daily shop operations
Run skis and snowboards over waxing equipment when required
Comply with required risk management and indemnification procedures
Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1 year previous rental shop experience preferred
1 year previous customer service experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Must pass ski manufacturers' binding certification (on-the-job training provided) Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge of product or service
Knowledge of companies fire and safety procedures
Strong knowledge of surrounding town and areas
Basic industry terminology
Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members
Bi-lingual language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French or others) preferred
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly
Active listening and interpersonal skills to personalize the guest experience
Ability to act professional in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to understand written and verbal English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively in team settings, contributing positively to group dynamics
Report to work in compliance with grooming standards
Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels permit
Ability to multi-task and to control a busy environment Additional Information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50 lbs.) Job Benefits
