Microgrid Sales Engineer
Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid Job Description, Duties and Responsibilities: Provide the technical expertise needed for sales engagement for microgrid (Power Through) development for commercial & industrial customer resiliency opportunities. Manage assigned sales funnel to ensure sales targets are met to support both the capital & supply plan for the Power Through fleet. Develops, measures and reports on account plan for assigned accounts with solutions-oriented focus on customer resiliency and growth. Monitors and assesses quality of services offered and overall client satisfaction. Coordinate internal & external resources to address client needs. Leads clients through site assessments, load analysis and resiliency needs development in alignment with the Power Through program offering. Prepare detailed project proposals, including equipment specifications, installation requirements, and lifecycle cost analysis. Establish and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking the progress of opportunities from initial lead generation to contract execution. Required Skills: BA or BS degree required (emphasis in engineering, business, or mathematics) 5+ years in utility operations or equivalent Leader of projects, programs, or initiatives in areas such as energy efficiency, energy conservation, or mechanical engineering. Customer service experience working with both internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to climb ladders to get on roof tops or attics. Ability to make presentations to large groups of people. Excellent personal computer skills and related software (Microsoft Office). Ability to organize and manage projects. Ability to work additional required overtime, which could include storm work over multiple days. Position requires some travel. Demonstrated history of working safely without injury or accident. Ability to learn and apply Company policies and procedures. Possess excellent customer service skills with demonstrated analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to make decisions consistent with good business practices. Ability to perform independently of direct supervision. Self-motivated and dependable team player. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high-level of customer service. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change. Desired Skills: Master's Degree preferred Professional Certification including Professional Engineer or Energy Efficiency certification (ie, CEM, BPI, LLED, RESNET, RAP, and/or IEPEC) preferred Marketing background Customer Care System (CCS or CIS) and/or Agent Information System application skills. Comfortable with social media applications
