VRC is a comprehensive, referral specialty & emergency critical care veterinary hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for appointments, advanced imaging, surgery and emergency/critical care services. At our hospital, you'll be working alongside a large team of experienced & board-certified veterinarians with advanced specialized training who utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals. Our veterinary services include trauma treatment and critical care, medical oncology, radiation therapy oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, dentistry/oral surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, MRI and CT, endoscopy, rehabilitation, and emergency services. We are looking to add a skilled Overnight Emergency Veterinary Nurse to compliment our growing, fast paced hospital. By joining VRC you will be supported by a team of excellent nurses and assistants along with experienced, board-certified veterinarians. We utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals on an emergency basis and/or long term ailments. Schedule:
3/12's, overnights needed Once a month on call is required. Our nurses get to choose if they will do Anesthesia on call or Treatment on call! Compensation:
Hourly range $18-34/hour Overnight shifts receive a $3/hr shift differential Credentialed Veterinary Technicians receive an additional $2 an hour Veterinary Technician Specialists receive an additional $4 an hour On call stipend for Anesthesia techs is an additional $350 on top of hourly pay! On call stipend for Treatment techs is an additional $300 on top of hourly pay! Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in venipuncture & IVC placement Proper handling/restraint have an understanding of animal behavior (fear free familiarity is a plus!) A broad knowledge of small animal surgery, disease processes and medicine be comfortable with dosages and calculations, including CRI's and IVF additives At least 1 year of veterinary nursing experience is required, 3 is preferred.
