This position is not responsible for providing direct patient care. Our five hospitals and eleven clinics provide excellence in our comprehensive services, medical advancement, and overall patient outcomes. The Coordinator is responsible for managing interpreter staffing schedules to meet patient scheduling needs. This role works closely with contractor agencies and internal staff to ensure appropriate coverage. The Coordinator monitors scheduling queues daily, updates staffing schedules as needed, coordinates services with other departments, and supports operational needs through reporting and quality improvement activities. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate interpreter staffing schedules, including contractor agency staff, to meet patient scheduling demands. Monitor scheduling systems and adjust coverage proactively based on changes in patient volumes or staffing availability. Communicate with contractor agencies regarding staffing needs, assignments, and performance expectations. Compile and maintain accurate departmental records, including staffing schedules and performance tracking. Prepare training materials and coordinate scheduling-related training for staff as needed. Participate in quality improvement projects by developing data collection tools, compiling and analyzing data, and providing input on scheduling processes. Provide reports on staffing metrics and operational performance to leadership. Coordinate services and scheduling needs across departments to ensure smooth interpreter service delivery. Assist with routine administrative tasks such as ordering supplies or tracking department needs. Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations. Required Skills & Abilities: Strong ability to coordinate, revise, and maintain complex staffing schedules. Organizational and prioritization skills; able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with staff, vendors, and internal departments. Ability to adapt quickly to changing scheduling needs and staffing fluctuations. Proficient in developing and maintaining reports and operational data. Ability to work independently and proactively manage responsibilities. Knowledge of or ability to learn scheduling systems and internal processes related to contractor and staff coordination. Qualifications

Required

Three years of experience working in a medical office or clinic, with an emphasis in scheduling in a related area, or equivalency. Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

Certificate in Medical Terminology. Certification related to specific area, and/or additional years of related experience. Working Conditions and Physical Demands
